Bones' Weekly Update - Part 2 (Sub part a)

So about 2 weeks ago I pledged that I would compose "Bones' Weekly Update" so that the few individuals who wanted to read about my life could have something to read. Alas I've been really busy the past 2 weeks and didn't get to it. It's finally quieting down now - so I will share a brief recount of what's taken place.

About three weeks ago I sat around literally with nothing to do - i went golfing with a fellow from work, got some sushi, and watched Nip/Tuck. Kind of a depressing existence.

Randomly on Sunday afternoon I thought to myself "even if I am getting out of this place soon I would still like to experience the wonder and mystery that is CALIFORNIA." Somehow I was led over to a car rental agency where I picked up a chevrolet impala.

About two hours later I found myself in Moutainview, CA - home to Google and a bunch of tech nerdos who tried to be google but failed miserably. Unfortunately I did not get to the campus until well after security put it into "lockdown mode," forcing me to gaze from afar. 1AM rolled around, I drove back to my Russian Hill apartment, watched a little Alias, than crashed.

More to come....i just got some work,

New addition - Bones's Weekly Update

Dear Potential Future Readers,

The last 8 weeks have probably been the most interesting ones of my entire life. For the first time ever, I moved away from my friends and family to a relatively distant location— California. Here in CA I was expected to start a new life for myself after college.

Things have turned out very differently than I hoped here in SF. The career I have chosen has a number of difficulties, and the city has turned into a pretty alienating experience for me. The number of absolutely horrific experiences has just become absurd - so I decided to literally turn the absurdity into a joke and began this blog.

I call it "Bones' Weekly Update" - why "Bones" you ask? It started about 6 weeks ago in the TWP board room where people were discussing what a person's name would be if they were a dog. The asian fellow I share my cubicle with was named "Stitch" and I "Bones." The etymology is as follows - Anthony---Tony---Tones---Disccusion with the tools---Bones.

The name kind of stuck and frankly I kind of like it - how terrified would you be if you were about to sit down to a board meeting with "Bones Serritella?"

As far as my life now goes, I have moved to SF, trained for three weeks and now worked for the past 5. Last week I met my boss- a fellow by the name of Blake Kim - and was flown to Seattle for a meeting. That was cool.

I literally feel like i have no control over what is going on in my life anymore. I trained hard for three weeks, had a month of hell, came back to chicago for a while (which was hella fun), then worked.

Boy did thsi week suck monkey nuts though.

More to come.

...at the moment, and desperately wanting to get home.

Moving forever in 17 days....

Premature Post

So I decided tonight that what with my imminent move, I will need a sure-fire way to communicate with everyone next year. Since I am basically half a continent away, the electronic highway proved to be the most apt method.

I am not yet in California, and will be in Chicago for the next 5 weeks. Between now and then I have to do three things:

1. Spend time with family and friends.
2. Somehow move everything I own across the country
3. Complete sleazeball training

More to come!!!!
